There are many details involved in a long distance move. Coverage is a very important part of moving. Please keep in mind that when you are hiring a mover, you are purchasing human services; accidents can happen. Released Value of $0.60 per pound per article
This is a basic liability level of valuation coverage and it is provided at no charge. It is considerably less than the average value of
household goods. If any article is lost, or damaged while in your mover's custody; your mover's liability is limited to the actual weight of the item.

Comprehensive Insurance
This is an insurance option that is available through your home owner's /renters insurance provider. You may also contact Baker International
(www.bakerintl.com) to get a quote for Full Value Replacement. You will need to declare the total value of
your shipment and any Extraordinary Items.
Keep in mind, if you ship any hazardous items/materials, your claim may be denied. For more information, please see our

Building Requirements
When you are moving long distance there are many details to cover in one's move. Be sure the check with your building at both locations if
they require additional insurance. Most moving companies need to advise their insurance provider at least 72 hours prior to the move out or move in date.
Most likely there is a cost for this service. Depending on your building(s), some may only request to be added on the Certificate Holder; this service
should be provided at no additional cost.
