Moving With Pets

Pets can brighten up your day and make you forget all your troubles. They become a part of your family and life and hence it is understandable that they would be upset when you start packing. It is a good idea to keep to your usual routine when it comes to your pets. So take them out at the same time and feed and play with them as you usually do.

When you are packing your carpets, linen and upholstery, it is a good idea to bathe your pet and keep him away from the room that you are packing in. This will ensure that it doesn’t contain any pet hair when packed.

Cover sofas and chairs once they have been cleaned and are ready to be moved. You will need to keep out your pet’s bowls and other things until the last day and so you need to keep a carton ready for them. On moving day it may be a good idea to keep your pet tied up or let him be walked while your luggage is being loaded onto the truck. Don’t forget to carry along your pet’s food so that once you are in the new house he can feel right at home.
